Issa Doumbia (born June 10, 1982) is a French actor and comedian who co-presented BattleBots: Le Choc des Robots alongside comedian Nicolas Ciattoni, otherwise known as "Cartman".

Born in Versailles to a Malian family, Issa Doumbia trained in acting at a young age and worked as part of a company within the canton of Trappes for several years.

BattleBots: Le Choc des Robots was a French dub of World Championship I which premiered on May 14 2019, with two episodes airing back-to-back starting at 9pm on French network Gulli. Each episode was 45 minutes in length, and the dub was repeated in late 2020 on French channel M6.[1]

The English commentary of Chris Rose and Kenny Florian was replaced for a French-speaking audience, with both co-presenters performing their presenting and commentary roles in front of a green screen.[2]

Outside BattleBots[]

Issa Doumbia has lent himself to multiple acting and presenting roles over the years, having been active since 2006. His first television role came as Dauger in the TV series Brigade Navarro, though he is best known for his roles as Barkette in Lascars (2012-2014) and Issa Leguenec in Nos chers voisins (2012-2017).

He is also a recognized stand-up comedian, performing the show Issa Doumbia - Première Consultation in April 2018. More recently, he finished second the second season of Mask Singer (a French version of The Masked Singer).

Issa Doumbia presented Show Me Your Voice in April 2021 for M6 - the same channel which aired repeats of BattleBots: Le Choc des Robots in 2020.[3]
