Insult and Injury was a heavyweight robot which attempted to qualify for BattleBots World Championship II.

It was a green and black, two-part multibot which consisted of two smaller robots, each armed with a spring-powered flipper. Insult and Injury was designed by Aren Hill, who would later scale up the design for the first iteration of Tantrum as captain of Seems Reasonable Robotics.

Insult and Injury was originally accepted for World Championship II, but this decision was later overturned due a conflict of interest with regards to team members working for Innovation First International at the time, who oversee HEXBUG and VEX Robotics as brands. One of the stipulations of BattleBots concerned preventing anybody working for a brand who financially benefit from the show, through merchandise deals or otherwise from competing and having a shot at the overall prize money.[1] Team captain Aren Hill believes they were replaced by Yeti for the 2016 season, though the team were still permitted to attend filming and help out for several days.[2]

The team opted not to enter Insult and Injury into future seasons of BattleBots, as he and Seems Reasonable Robotics instead competed with Tantrum from the 2018 season onward. As over a year had passed since filming for World Championship II, team members who were previously unable to compete now could. For the 2021 season, Seems Reasonable Robotics also built a flywheel flipper called Blip.

In 2023, the team announced their intention to enter a multibot, seven years on from Insult and Injury's rejection. Featuring twin vertical spinners, this new robot is called The Twins.[3]
