Icky Thump was a heavyweight robot which competed in Season 3.0 of Comedy Central's BattleBots.

It was an invertible, two-wheel drive robot which was armed with a 5" diameter spinning drum with 2" blades attached to act as teeth. It also had LEDs on the front of the robot resembling "eyes". According to Team Icky Thump, it took around five months to build.

Icky Thump won one battle in its only season before losing to Junkyard Offspring, and did not return for any future seasons of the show.

Robot History

Season 3.0
Icky Thump vs. The Ripper Icky Thump's first ever match was against The Ripper. Icky Thump won the fight on a close 24-21 judges' decision and advanced to the TV rounds, where it faced Junkyard Offspring.
Icky Thump vs. Junkyard Offspring Icky Thump gets underneath the side of Junkyard Offspring. In the match, Icky Thump got it's spinning spiked drum under the right side of Junkyard Offspring. Shortly after, Junkyard Offspring pushed Icky Thump to the screws. The time ran out shortly after and Junkyard Offspring won the fight on a close 25-20 judges' decision. This meant that Icky Thump was eliminated from the tournament. Because it lost in the Round of 64, Icky Thump did not participate the Heavyweight Consolation Rumble at the end of the tournament.
