Hipopononomus during Season 3.0
Hipoponomous was a middleweight robot built by Team Batteraizees which competed in Seasons 3.0 and 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was originally a tall wedge-shaped robot armed with a vertically-spinning aluminum disk with a pneumatic lifter/srimech. It was completely rebuilt for Season 5.0 to be a short box-shaped Lexan robot armed with a horizontally-spinning disk (however, there were issues with the disk, so it was exchanged for a small hammer nicknamed "the beat-down stick"). Hipoponomous did not do well in competition, winning only one fight.
The team that built Hipoponomous also built a lightweight robot named Paladin, which is the robot which Hipoponomous borrowed its "beat-down stick" from.

Season 3.0[]
Hipoponomous catches fire after fighting Zion.

Hipoponomous's only fight was against Zion. During the match, Hipoponomous' battery shorted out, leaving Zion to eventually win by KO at 1:21 and Hipoponomous was eliminated.
Season 5.0[]
Hipoponomous's first fight was against Thumper. Hipoponomous was able to knockout Thumper and move on to the second round. Here, it faced WulfBane and was eventually defeated on a 19-26 judges decision.
