Hack & Slash is heavyweight robot built by Canada's Red Spark Robotics which applied for BattleBots World Championship V. Despite being accepted, the team pulled out after filming was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is a multibot consisting of two near identically-shaped halves. One of which, Hack, is orange in color and armed with an axe, whereas Slash is blue and equipped with an undercutting bar spinner. Both are two-wheel drive and sport a strong medieval theme. In its reveal to Facebook Supporters in early 2020, both halves had decorative eyes and are connected by a chain.

Red Spark Robotics reapplied for World Championship VI, but withdrew after over half of the team would have been unable to attend filming due to work commitments. Team captain Kurtis Wanner would join up with Team Witch Doctor for future seasons.

Team captain Kurtis Wanner had previous BattleBots experience as part of fellow Canadian representatives Lucky during World Championship III. Alongside teammate Ethan McKibben, he had fought in the 2017 edition of RoboGames with Crash n' Burn, a very similar design with each half equipped with a large wedge and flamethrower weapon. Despite each half having a significant weight disadvantage, they proved durable against big hitters Last Rites and Megabyte as well as defeating icon Vlad the Impaler II. However, the multibot eventually fell to Whiplash. Crash n' Burn returned for RoboGames 2018, receiving a bye and defeating Foxic 3 before losing to Ragin Scotsman and Touro Maximus.

Team member Brendan McClure's experience with Battlebots goes back even further, as he had entered the lightweight division in Season 5.0 with overhead spinner Baby Bear, however the robot was unable to pass safety and had to withdraw. Since then, he has competed in many events, from insectweight to heavyweight with his face spinner The Leech, noteworthy as the first robot ever to fight Team Whyachi's Warrior SKF.

In mid-2022, it was confirmed that Crash n' Burn had applied for the 2023 RoboGames event, joined this year by Red Spark Robotics teammate Brendan McClure. However, due to a ruling by the fire marshal, it was unable to use its twin flamethrowers for this competition. After receiving a Round 1 bye, Crash n' Burn faced Ziggy Jr., built by the team Kurtis Wanner previously worked with in 2018, losing out by a 20-13 judges' decision. Crash n' Burn then fell to King Crab in the loser's bracket, confirming its elimination.

Crash n' Burn registered for RoboGames 2024, but withdrew close to the event.
