Guillotine is a heavyweight robot believed to be designed with the intention of fighting in BattleBots Proving Ground as part of the live show, BattleBots: Destruct-A-Thon.
Built by Anthony Tazzetto, who previously designed and began building Ballista ahead of World Championship III, Guillotine is a four-wheel drive robot armed with a large punching drum spinner, similar in design to former Giant Nut winner Tantrum. The spinning mass is 3" thick and 14" in diameter, weighing 39lbs.[1]

Guillotine has two steep, angled plates either side of its vertical spinner to get underneath and position opponents to land a punch with its primary weapon. Like Tantrum, Guillotine's drum travels across rails in order to deliver its punch. Guillotine's primary weapon has 24" of travel in total.
Captain Anthony Tazzetto revealed development of Guillotine had been put on hold due to work commitments and a lack of funding, but expressed a desire not to give up on Guillotine.
- "It was intended for the next season originally, but was also invited to Destruct-A-Thon! I had to decline but my dad and I flew out and spoke to some of the guys and got some networking done. I don't think I'll ever abandon this robot, but if I say it's going to be a fast process I'd be kidding myself."
