Guayacan was a middleweight robot from Puerto Rico which competed in BattleBots IQ 2007 and 2008 in the High School division.

Guayacan was designed as a two-wheel drive robot armed with a vertical spinning drum. The sides were armored with plastic to proved a low friction way to lift the drum off the fround.

Not much is known about its performance, but it is known to have fought in two separate iterations of BattleBots IQ. It is unknown how it performed outside of a few matches, but it did not have a podium finish at either.

Robot History

BattleBots IQ 2007
Guayacan vs. Knightrous Knightrous sends Guayacan flying through the air. Guayacan was known to have fought Knightrous at some point in the tournament. Knightous's first hit on Guayacan's side launched the robot several feet in the air, knocking it out in one hit.
BattleBots IQ 2008
Mighty Knight vs. Guayacan Guayacan was known to have returned the following year and fought Mighty Knight. Titanium Knight stayed aggressive and was able to shove Guayacan around in the early stage of the fight. A head on attack was able to pop Guayacan upside down, giving Mighty Knight a further advantage. Eventually, Guayacan's drum broke down, allowing Mighty Knight to dispatch of it to the corner pulverizer and win by knock out.
