Golden Gate Bridge in the arena selection menu.

"BattleBots brings to you the height of action in the center of the Golden Gate Bridge. Roadblocks are up and we're good to go. So let's hope the crowd gets some action to match the view."
— In-game description

The Golden Gate Bridge is a fictional arena which features in the cancelled BattleBots video game for PlayStation 2 and GameCube. It is one of the variations of the classic BattleBox arena found in the game.

The arena is hosted in the real-life attraction of the same name, located in San Francisco, California. Built between 1933 and 1937, the suspension bridge connects San Francisco Bay to the Pacific Ocean, measuring 746ft at its highest.

Information on the Golden Gate Bridge arena is scarce, though from the information available, the arena appears largely similar to other variations of the classic BattleBox. The arena is positioned on a square section of the bridge itself, with large supports visible just outside of the action. The in-game description mentions roadblocks set up to prevent traffic from using the bridge, though these are not immediately obvious in the arena selection menu.

Trivia[]

  • In terms of real-world distance, this arena would be located just six miles from the Alcatraz arena.
