The Giant Washer is an award presented to BattleBots teams during select non-televised events, such as Proving Ground All Stars Week and BattleBots FaceOffs.
It is a multi-purpose award, first given as the live show equivalent of the Most Destructive Robot Award presented to teams at the tail end of every televised season. The inaugural winners were Team RioBotz and Minotaur after their week of four battles from April 11-14, 2024. This marked the second time they won an award for being the most damaging robot, after Minotaur won the Most Destructive Robot Award in 2016 after World Championship II.
Ahead of the second BattleBots FaceOffs group in late September 2024, it was announced that each group winner would also receive a Giant Washer award, this time honoring their success across the week of fights as opposed to being the most damaging robot.
