Garbage was a lightweight robot designed by Team Garbage that for Season 3.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
Garbage was originally designed as a vertical spinner with two railroad spikes travelling at 60 MPH and a rear wedge.[1] This would eventually be changed in favor of a horizontally spinning steel bar around a cylindrical body.[2] The robot's armor was made out of an aluminum garbage can which is where it gets its name and covered with CDs on top.[3] The team was building Garbage on a budget and stated their only goal was to win one fight.
Garbage never ended up competing in BattleBots in any form. The team was planning on entering Garbage in Hobby Show Robot Conflict without its weapon. The team mentioned it ended up self destructing during testing before this event.[4] It is unknown if Garbage was rebuilt for the event and if it competed in any events at all.
