Whirl Wep was a lightweight robot built by Mike Winter of the Robot Action League that competed in the final three seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was an orange robot armed with a horizontally-spinning disc and rear wedge. It performed decently in BattleBots, winning several fights but never going further than the Round of 32. Originally, it was a continuation of the X series, with its initial Season 3.0 appearance named Whirl Wep X25, but it was changed to Whirl Wep-EEL Brain for the later two seasons.

Robot History

Season 3.0
Whirl Wep X25 vs. Bulldog Whirl Wep X25's first ever match in BattleBots was against Bulldog. Whirl Wep X25 won the fight by KO and advanced to the TV Rounds, where it faced Patriot.
Whirl Wep X25 vs. Patriot Patriot takes some damage from the Killsaws. Whirl Wep X25 and Patriot charged at each other, starting to chase each other around the BattleBox. Whirl Wep X25 caused some scratches to Patriot's armor. Patriot was then caught by the killsaws, receiving some gashes to its underside, the killsaws going through the underside, failing to cause any critical damage however. Patriot then got a piece of debris stuck under the right side of Patriot, meaning it could turn left. Whirl Wep X25 spent the rest of the fight attacking Patriot, its disc getting blocked Patriot's wedge. The time ran out and Whirl Wep X25 won the fight on a 26-19 judges' decision and advanced to fight Sublime.
Whirl Wep X25 vs. Sublime Sublime won the fight on a close 23-22 split judges' decision and Whirl Wep X25 was eliminated from the tournament. As of 2022, it is unknown if Whirl Wep X25 participated the lightweight consolation rumble at the end of the tournament.
Season 4.0
Whirl Wep-EEL Brain vs. SnowFlake Whirl Wep-EEL Brain's only match of the season was against SnowFlake. Both bots were thrown to one immediately as SnowFlake rammed Whirl Wep. Whirl Wep got in a couple of hits that left huge gouges in SnowFlake's plow blade, but was rammed by SnowFlake in the side, and this hit caused it to stop moving. Whirl Wep-EEL Brain was counted out and SnowFlake won the fight by KO. This meant Whirl Wep-EEL Brain was eliminated from the tournament again.
Season 5.0
Whirl Wep-EEL Brain vs. Undertow Whirl Wep-EEL Brain's first match was against Undertow. Whirl Wep-EEL Brain won the fight by KO and advanced to the next preliminary round, where it faced Spwack.
Whirl Wep-EEL Brain vs. Spwack Whirl Wep-EEL Brain won the fight by KO and advanced to the next preliminary round, where it faced Paladin.
Whirl Wep-EEL Brain vs. Paladin Whirl Wep-EEL Brain won the fight on a 25-20 judges' decision and advanced to the final preliminary round and where it faced Bambino.
Whirl Wep-EEL Brain vs. Bambino Whirl Wep-EEL Brain won the fight on a close 23-22 split judges' decision and advanced to the round of 64, where it faced Burning Metal.
Whirl Wep-EEL Brain vs. Burning Metal Burning Metal won the fight on a 29-16 judges' decision and Whirl Wep-EEL Brain was eliminated from the tournament once again.
