Not to be confused with the BattleBox releases as part of the HEXBUG remote control line of toys.

In line with the Grip N' Grapplers range of toys produced by Jakks Pacific in 2001, a replica of the iconic BattleBox was produced to stage battles during play.

Based on its Season 2.0 appearance, the BattleBox featured many of the hazards present at the time: two sets of active killsaws and four pulverizer hammers operated by two levers, as well as spikestrips across the perimeter. In addition, the BattleBox set featured sound effects from the real show. An array of transparent wall panels were included and could attach around the outside of the BattleBox, with openings near the red and blue starting squares to allow for the toys' pull triggers to rest.

Ultimate BattleBox Arena Playset[]

The BattleBox set was re-released as the Ultimate BattleBox Arena Playset.

The arena was packaged with both Diesector and Tazbot Grip N' Grappler toys, both of which were coincidentally made by Donald Hutson. Strangely, however, the set featured robots from different weight divisions.

Later, the arena was released for a third time as the Champions of the Arena BattleBox Playset, and was exclusive to Toys "R" Us.

This time, the arena was packaged with more toys from the Grip N' Grappler line - Second Edition releases of Diesector and Tazbot were joined by Mauler and Grendel. The playset also featured replica winner pogs.

Trivia[]

  • Despite being intended for the Grip N' Grapplers, the back of the packaging also advertises the Battle Bashers line of toys.
  • The box misspells Pulverizers as "Pulverizors".
