The Steel Magnolia was a lightweight robot which competed in Season 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was a silver rounded robot with no active weapon, but a lot of speed. It was able to win one battle by forfeit before being eliminated.
The Steel Magnolia would continue competing after BattleBots as CrocBot to limited success until its retirement after RoboGames 2007.

Season 5.0[]
The Steel Magnolia's first fight was scheduled to be against T.D.M. However T.D.M. forfeited the match putting Steel Magnolia through to the next preliminary round where it faced Dark Steel. At the beginning of the match, The Steel Magnolia stopped moving and Dark Steel slammed it against the arena wall a few times before it was counted out. Dark Steel won by TKO, and Steel Magnolia was eliminated from the tournament. Post-match inspection revealed it was a loose set screw on the motor's output gear that caused the robot to stop moving.
