BattleBots Wiki

IceCube was a middleweight robot built by Team Toad which competed in the final three seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots.

It was a blue robot armed with a scoop and a wheelie bar, designed to prevent it from flipping over. In addition, a small arm was added for Season 5.0 to keep the robot from being stranded on the plow. Ice Cube had a decent BattleBots career, but never had a televised match and never got past the Round of 64.

Robot History[]

Season 3.0[]

IceCube vs. Pink Slip

IceCube's first opponent was Pink Slip. IceCube won the fight on a 41-4 judges' decision and went to round-two, where it faced Die Flendermaus.

IceCube vs. Die Flendermaus

IceCube won the fight on a 33-12 and advanced to final preliminary round, where it faced Little Drummer Boy.

IceCube vs. Little Drummer Boy

This was a relatively close match. IceCube was knocked around and flipped several times from the spinning drum, but it didn't sustain any real damage. Little Drummer Boy's weapon chain got dislodged about 75 seconds into the two minute match, so Little Drummer Boy turned around and used the wedge spikes to push IceCube around. The time ran out and Little Drummer Boy won the fight on a 26-19 judges' decision. This meant IceCube was eliminated from the tournament.

Season 4.0[]

IceCube vs. Internal Audit

IceCube first match of the season was against Internal Audit. IceCube hit Internal Audit hard right out of the gate. Internal Audit knocked IceCube a few times with its blade, but it broke. The robots then went into a pushing contest. It looked very even at first, even through Internal Audit was on top of IceCube's plow. After a few seconds with locked horns, IceCube took control and pushed Internal Audit onto the spike strip, where it was hung up and immobilized. IceCube won the fight by KO and advanced to the next preliminary round.

IceCube vs. Turtle Road Kill

IceCube then went against Turtle Road Kill. The bots rammed each other quite hard as the match began, causing IceCube to pop up as it hit TRK's wedges. The bots maneuvered around each other for a bit, and IceCube shook oddly as its spring-steel rear bumper wobbled and bounced along the ground. IceCube's plow blade sort of banged along the ground, making it easy for TRK to get under it. At one point IceCube got tipped up and balanced perfectly on its blade, with its wheels sticking up in the air. TRK chose not to take the win that way, but instead, it knocked IceCube down and went after it some more. IceCube got pushed around for the remainder of the match, until, just at the end, it got tipped up onto its blade yet again. Turtle Road kill won the fight on a 32-13 judges' decision and IceCube was eliminated again.
