Huntsman was a robot built by Australian team Hellfire Labs which applied for BattleBots World Championship II and World Championship VI, but was unsuccessful in qualifying for either competition.

It was a two-wheel drive with a unique, boat-shaped chassis armored in 10mm AR450 steel and equipped with a large, 44lb bladed axe.

"The robot was designed in 2011 for Robogames. At the time the top heavyweights were wedges like Sewer Snake or horizontal spinners like Last Rites. I was afraid those robot could ride up the wedge and hit the axe mechanism. So I went for a design that would keep me on top."

Hellfire Labs initially applied for World Championship II, but were not successful for unknown reasons. After a hiatus partially caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the team later applied for the World Championship VI with both Huntsman and a new robot called Agitator, but were not selected with either. Undeterred, team member Daniel Kerrison again redesigned Huntsman with the view to apply for World Championship VII, though it is unknown whether an official application was submitted.

Outside of BattleBots, the original Huntsman robot was designed and built in 2011, fighting in the 2012 edition of RoboGames. It suffered a modest outing at RoboGames, losing twice after winning its first fight, including defeat to Last Rites. The robot was sold to the Death By Monkeys team and refurbished to compete a year later as Big Monkey. However, Big Monkey lost both fights, one of which came against Sewer Snake.

Huntsman was redesigned for the second season of Chinese show King of Bots, where it fought in a televised competition for the first time. However, Huntsman lost in its four-way qualifying rumble which included Chinese representatives Hold Me Back, The Magical Windmill and Thunder, and was eliminated early on. Despite this, Huntsman also fought in an unaired whiteboard against Shrederator Tiger Claw, where it was victorious.

• If accepted in 2016, Huntsman would have shared the honor of Australian BattleBots representative. However, this went to DeathRoll outright.
