Featherweights, also known as 30lbers, are the name given to BattleBots competitors which weighed up to 30lbs. They were introduced exclusively for the 2004 NPC Charity Open event as part of the "Sub-light" group of weight divisions. alongside 1lb antweights, 3lb beetleweights and 12lb hobbyweights.
The 30lb weight division has since become popularized outside of BattleBots, in events such as Motorama and the National Havoc Robot League.
