Fang was a middleweight robot built by students of The Gow School, which competed in BotsIQ 2008.

It was an invertible, two-wheel drive robot armed with a spinning drum. Fang was significant in being the first robot defeated at a BattleBots competition by ring-out.

Robot History

Fang vs. Gow Fang was known to have fought against fellow Gow School entry Gow. Gow was able to use its wide front wedge to shove Fang into the wall several times before maneuvering it into the Pulverizer. Fang took several hits before tapping out, giving the win to Gow.
Fang vs. Knightrous Knightrous throws Fang out of the arena. Fang was also known to have gone up against Knightrous. Knightrous was able to quickly hit Fang into the air, throwing it up and over the side wall and recording the first ring-out victory in the history of BattleBots.
