Eric the Red was a lightweight robot built by Team Viking USA which competed in seasons 3.0 - 5.0 of BattleBots. It was a cut off wedge shaped bot armed with two, double sided axes. It did't perform well in competition, losing its first match in all three appearances.
The team that built Eric the Red also built middleweight Viking Dragon.

Season 3.0[]
Eric the Red's first fight was against Wacker. Wacker won on a 37-8 judges' decision and Eric the Red was eliminated.
Season 4.0[]
Eric went up against Space Madness. Space Madness pushed Eric around and slammed it into the spike stripe and put holes in its back end. Eric's thwacking axes showed little effect during the match. Eric the Red got stuck on top of Space Madness, and the robots had to be separated. Eric the Red lost a wheel towards the end of the fight. Space Madness won on a 34-11 judges decision.
Season 5.0[]
In the first match, Eric the Red faced O'Dominator. O'Dominator won through a TKO and Eric the Red was eliminate from the competition.
