Epitaph was a superheavyweight robot from Calgary, Canada built by Russel Jones, which was originally designed for a proposed Season 6.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
It was armed with a "grab and stab" weapon; a pair of hydraulic claws for grabbing an opponent, which it would follow up with a spike firing through the center scoop.
The only known images of Epitaph come from Western Canadian Robot Games, where the robot was on display along with Complete Control prior to Season 5.0. The robot was incomplete at this time, with a view to enter it into a future season. However, BattleBots was not picked up by Comedy Central for a sixth season and Epitaph would ultimately not compete.
It is not thought that Epitaph ever competed at any other event, and it is unknown at this time whether it was ever completed.
