Dude of Destruction was a lightweight robot built by Team Lightning which competed in two seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots.
In Season 4.0, Dude of Destruction was a four-wheeled, gold robot with mesh-like armor and a set of circular saws at the front. However, it lost its only battle.
Dude of Destruction was rebuilt for Season 5.0 to be a black robot armed with a rotary bludgeon and a rear plow, making it similar to the team's new robot Mr. "D". It won three consecutive fights this time around before losing out to Matts Bammer.
The team also had a middleweight version of Dude of Destruction named Mr. "D". The team also competed in Season 3.0 with Yoshik, and Season 4.0 with Yoshikillerbot.
Outside BattleBots[]
Dude of Destruction competed once outside of BattleBots at ROBOlympics 2004. It was slightly rebuilt but kept its four-wheel drive and spinning bludgeon. It ended up losing to Hadoouuu-Ken and New Attitude.[1]

Both robots circled each other for position before Little Hater got in a few hits and was able to shove Dude of Destruction into the wall. Dude of Destruction managed to get a few pushes of its own throughout the fight, pinning Little Hater against the wall as the match came to a close. Little Hater ultimately took the win by a 23-22 judges' decision. |

Dude of Destruction vs. Alpha Crusader Next up for Dude of Destruction in the preliminary rounds was Alpha Crusader. It achieved another win by knockout and continued on. |
Dude of Destruction vs. Robomination Dude of Destruction now fought Robomination, where it earned a third KO win in as many fights. |
Dude of Destruction vs. Matts Bammer Its next opponent in the tournament was Jeff Vasquez and Matts Bammer. Both robots survived the full three minutes on this occasion, but Matts Bammer won on a 14-31 judges' decision, eliminating Dude of Destruction. |
