Diskontent was a heavyweight robot which competed in Season 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was an invertible robot armed with a horizontal spinning disk and a rear scoop wedge. It performed well as a rookie, winning three battles before losing to Voltronic in the Round of 32.

After BattleBots ended, Diskontent competed in the RFL for a time as Vicious Circle before it retired. Diskontent's name was a pun on discontent.

Diskontent vs. Bad Blood

Diskontent's first ever match in BattleBots was against Bad Blood. This was mainly a pushing match and Diskontent pushed Bad Blood against the spikestrip at one point. After this, Bad Blood backed up and charged straight at the rear of Diskontent, nearly flipping itself. Diskontent kept hitting Bad Blood with its spinning disk until the time ran out. Diskontent won on a close 24-21 judges' decision and advanced to the final preliminary round, where it faced Evilution.

Diskontent won on a 26-19 judges' decision and advanced to the TV rounds, where it faced Ripkin.

Both robots were pushing each other around the BattleBox and Voltronic pushed Diskontent under the pulverizer. This most likely immobilized Diskontent and it was now being counted out. Voltronic won by KO and Diskontent was eliminated from the tournament.

Diskontent also participated the Heavyweight Consolation Rumble at the end of the tournament. In the opening seconds of the rumble, Spitfire got underneath the left side of Diskontent and flipped it onto its back. Diskontent went straight at FrostBite's spinning blades and took damage.

After this, M.O.E. went over Diskontent's front and flipped itself onto its back. The flipped Diskontent kept bumping into other robots until it was being attacked by Nightmare, who lost a tooth after a massive hit on Junkyard Offspring, having its rear plow torn up. Despite the damage delivered by Nightmare, Diskontent was still moving around the BattleBox. Diskontent went straight at Little Sister, who was pushing Nightmare toward the exit ramp, and backed away after hitting the spikestrip. Diskontent kept fighting Nightmare and Little Sister before the time ran out. It was one of five robots still moving in the end, but it lost overall to FrostBite and Little Sister. (It wouldn't matter if it won or not later, as Nightmare losing it's tooth got the remaining rumbles canceled.)

Diskontent as Vicious Circle.

After BattleBots ended, Diskontent, now known as Vicious Circle, competed in Steel Conflict 3, where it went 2-2, winning against Circuit Breaker and Shrederator before losing two other matches. In the following Steel Conflict event, Vicious Circle put up its most successful tournament run to date, scoring victories against bots including BULL IT and Drum of Disaster and going 4-2, losing to the eventual tournament champion, Evelyn a modified Dawg. Vicious Circle later competed in the Inaugural ROBOLymics, Steel Conflict 5, and the RFL Nationals in 2004, finishing with a record of 2-2 on all of them. In 2005, Vicious Circle went winless in a tournament for the first time with an 0-2 in RoboGames. Following this up was another 2-2 run in the inaugural ComBots Cup, both of its losses being against past tournament winners Karcas 2 and SJ. After going winless again in RoboGames 2006, it was retired.

The team also competed in Season 2 of Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors, reaching the Heat Final with Brawler.
