Diamond Tears was a heavyweight robot built by Team Sixth Cosmic Speed, which applied for Battlebots World Championship III.

It was designed to be a multibot consisting of two identical robots inspired by the team's successful RoboGames and Fighting My Bots middleweight Hyper Railgun S. Each half was a two-wheel drive, invertible robot armed with a single-toothed vertical spinner. Whether Diamond Tears actually utilized Hyper Railgun S remains unknown, however each middleweight boasted 12,000rpm behind their spinning discs.

Although Diamond Tears was ultimately rejected from the 2018 competition, the team rebranded as Team Atom and were successful in their 2019 application with Railgun MAX.

Trivia

• Had Diamond Tears been selected, it would have been the first Chinese robot to compete in BattleBots- an honor which would ultimately be shared by Team Atom and Wan Hoo during the 2019 season.
• Diamond Tears was one of the first robots revealed to have been rejected from the 2018 season. However, its name and design were not known until a month before the show aired.
