Devil's Plunger.
Devil's Plunger was a middleweight robot built by Team PlumbCrazy that competed at the NPC Charity Open in 2004. Its main weapon was a hinged wedge. It dominated the competition, winning the tournament and going undefeated.
Robot History
2004 NPC Charity Open
After receiving a bye in the first round, Devil's Plunger went up against Easty Beast. Easty Beast scoops Devil's Plunger but did nothing more. Devil's Plunger then rams Easty Beast. Devil's Plunger then scoops Easty Beast and bashes it into the wall. Devil's Plunger later repeats the attack two times. Devil's Plunger then scoops Easty Beast again and rams it into a corner. Easty Beast almost grabs Devil's Plunger but fails to and Devil's Plunger then rams Easty Beast into the wall again. Devil's Plunger won on a judge's decision and advanced to the winner's quarterfinals, where it faced Floor Jack.
Devil's Plunger was the dominate robot from the start, pushing Floor Jack against the arena wall before overturning Floor Jack and pushing it under the pulverizer. Floor Jack was then hammered by the pulverizer while Devil's Plunger continued to push Floor Jack. Floor Jack eventually escaped the corner before Devil's Plunger drove Floor Jack into the opposite wall and then back towards the pulverizer which put Floor Jack the right way up. Floor Jack ended the fight on its rear by the pulverizer and Devil's Plunger lost its front right tire after it drove away from the corner. Devil's Plunger won on a judge's decision and advanced to the winner's semifinals, where it faced SubZero.
Devil's Plunger was dominate in this fight too, preventing SubZero from flipping and pushed it against the arena wall multiple times. Near the end of the fight, Devil's Plunger lost the front left tire, but that did not hamper Devil's Plunger as it continued to push SubZero around the arena. Devil's Plunger won on a judge's decision again and advanced to the winner's finals, where it faced Z.I.P.
The two robots bounced off each other before Devil's Plunger was put on its back. This actually helped Devil's Plunger as it could now get under Z.I.P. and it started getting under its opponent repeatedly and controlled the fight from that point on. Devil's Plunger won on a judge's decision yet again and advanced to the middleweight finals, where it faced Falconizer. Devil's Plunger won on a judge's decision once again and it was declared the middleweight champion.
