Devil's Plunger was a middleweight robot built by Team PlumbCrazy which competed at the BattleBots-sanctioned NPC Charity Open in 2004.

It was an invertible four-wheel drive machine armed with a hinged wedge, inspired by the success of the team's heavyweight build Sewer Snake. Devil's Plunger won the middleweight championship in dominant fashion, going undefeated with a bye and five combat victories.

Devil's Plunger would also appear in The Pits at the BattleBots JavaOne event in 2007 as a reserve entry, but it did not end up being used in the main competition.

Devil's Plunger vs. Easty Beast

EastyBeastvsDevil's Plunger

Devil's Plunger slams Easty Beast against the arena wall.

After receiving a bye in the first round, Devil's Plunger went up against Easty Beast. Easty Beast scooped Devil's Plunger but did nothing more. Devil's Plunger then rammed Easty Beast before getting around to a favorable side and driving it into the wall. Devil's Plunger later repeated the attack two times, then scooped Easty Beast again and rammed it into a corner. Easty Beast almost grabbed Devil's Plunger but failed to and Matt Maxham's robot shoved it into the wall again. Devil's Plunger won on a judges' decision and moved on.

Devil's Plunger vs. Floor Jack

Next up for Devil's Plunger was Floor Jack. Devil's Plunger was the dominant robot from the start, pushing Floor Jack against the arena wall before overturning Floor Jack and pushing it under the pulverizer. Floor Jack was then hammered by the pulverizer while Devil's Plunger continued to push Floor Jack. Floor Jack eventually escaped the corner before Devil's Plunger drove Floor Jack into the opposite wall and then back towards the pulverizer which put Floor Jack the right way up. Floor Jack ended the fight on its rear by the pulverizer and Devil's Plunger lost its front right tire after it drove away from the corner. Devil's Plunger won by judges' decision again.

Devil's Plunger vs. SubZero

In the semi-finals, Devil's Plunger fought SubZero. Devil's Plunger was dominate in this fight too, preventing SubZero from flipping and pushed it against the arena wall multiple times. Near the end of the fight, Devil's Plunger lost the front left tire, but that did not hamper Devil's Plunger as it continued to push SubZero around the arena. Devil's Plunger won on a third successive judges' decision to move into the winner's finals.

Devil's Plunger's next opponent was Z.I.P.. The two robots bounced off each other before Devil's Plunger was put on its back. This actually helped Devil's Plunger as it could now get under Z.I.P. and it started getting under its opponent repeatedly and controlled the fight from that point on. Though it failed to knock Z.I.P. out, it won by judges' decision once again.
