Defenestrator was a middleweight robot entered by Team SHENbot (later known as Team N-E-Bot, Team Pac-Man and C4 Robotics), a group of students from Columbus, Indiana who competed in multiple BattleBots IQ competitions, winning the 2003 event outright.

It was a two-wheel drive, invertible robot armed with a pneumatic flipping arm similar in design to T-Minus, which the team cited as inspiration for its design. Its chassis was made from ⅛" thick stainless steel. Defenestrator's name derived from the word 'defenestration', which is the act of throwing something out of a window.

Defenestrator made it to the fourth round of the bracket before losing to Evil Eagle, and then to E2 in the loser's bracket of the 2002 competition. The team won the Best Operators Award for the inaugural event.

Returning in 2003, Defenestrator won the entire tournament, placing first overall after beating Titan in the final. It was unable to repeat this success in the 2004 event, however, and did not compete afterwards despite showing intentions to return for the BattleBots IQ event in 2005.

In 2020, team member Cory Fowler posted a picture on Facebook of Defenestrator's 304 stainless steel shell. In the post, Fowler said he was in the process of designing a heavyweight version that he had hoped to be done in 2022, in time for World Championship VII. He stated it would use a hydraulic flipper inspired by that of Hydra. Despite the intentions, the most recent update came in May 2021, where Fowler showcased a working drive system in the 2003 Defenestrator shell.

BattleBots IQ 2002
Defenestrator vs. Happy Scrappy Hero Pup Defenstrator gets a lift on Happy Scrappy Hero Pup. Defenestrator got a bye through Round 1, allowing it to advance immediately into the winner's bracket. As such, its first fight came in Round 2 against Happy Scrappy Hero Pup. Happy Scrappy Hero Pup started this match without half of its drive. As a result of this, it could not turn quick enough to get its weapon into play, and Defenestrator promptly lifted it onto the spikestrips. This caused Happy Scrappy Hero Pup to hit itself and bend its weapon frame. Unable to free itself from the spikestrips, Happy Scrappy Hero Pup was promptly counted out.
Defenestrator vs. Balronic Wedge Next up for Defenestrator was Balronic Wedge, who it defeated to advance.
Defenestrator vs. Evil Eagle Defenestrator pins Evil Eagle under the pulverizer. Still in the winner's bracket, Defenestrator took on Evil Eagle. However, Evil Eagle was able to win this battle, consigning Defenestrator to the loser's bracket.
Defenestrator vs. E2 In the loser's bracket, Defenestrator had a rematch against E2, who had picked up four consecutive wins since their initial loss to Team SHENBOT. On this occasion, however, E2 was able to defeat Defenestrator and knocked it out of the competition for good.
Defenestrator vs. Karl vs. E2 vs. PlasticBot vs. Wee Willy Wedgy vs. The Edge vs. Whambulance Defenestrator was entered into one of five consolation rumbles at the end of the event. However, it lost out to champion Wee Willy Wedgy as well as runner-up The Edge.
BattleBots IQ 2003
Defenestrator vs. Half BROTHER Defenestrator gets under its opponent. Defenestrator's first fight was against Half BROTHER. When the match began, both bots circled around, and the wedgebot swung to the right, tapping Defenestrator. Promptly, Defenestrator fired its flipper, but missed when the wedgebot slipped away. After moving away, both bots bumped their rear ends together, and the wedgebot became incapacitated. Defenestrator turned around and delivered a few lifts from the rear of its opponent before the opposing team tapped out, giving Defenestrator the win by KO and moving on to the next round. However, the remainder of its opponents up until the final are not known.
Defenestrator vs. Mechanical Advantage Defenestrator taking on Mechanical Advantage. Defenestrator's second fight in the competition was against Mechanical Advantage. Mechanical Advantage struggled to keep its wedge flush on the floor, and spent most of the fight being flipped by Defenestrator. Defenestrator was able to win this match by judges' decision.
Defenestrator vs. Chaos Toaster Chaos Toaster pins Defenestrator. Defenestrator becomes stuck momentarily. Defenestrator's fourth opponent of the event was Team Appliance and their thwackbot, Chaos Toaster. Though Chaos Toaster was able to pin Defenestrator and in spite of becoming stuck midway through the fight, Defenestrator earned another win by judges' decision after getting lifts and flips in on its opponent.
Defenestrator vs. ? Up next for Defenestrator was a four-wheeled, box-shaped opponent whose name is not known. However, the team confirm this to be their fifth fight of the event, which they won by knockout after flipping it onto its side.
Defenestrator vs. ? Defenestrator's sixth fight came against a four-wheel drive, black robot with a wide front wedge and exposed wheels, unlike its previous opponent. After experiencing issues with their drive motors, Defenestrator lost by judges' decision despite lasting all three minutes.
Defenestrator vs. ? Defenestrator being prepped for battle Due to the double elimination format, Defenestrator took on the same opponent it had just lost to. However, Defenestrator picked up the win by judges' decision this time around and advanced in the competition. It is uncertain whether Defenestrator fought any more times before reaching the final.
Defenestrator vs. Titan In the championship final, Defenestrator took on Titan. Defenestrator won this battle to become the second ever BattleBots IQ middleweight champion.
BattleBots IQ 2004
Defenestrator vs. Devil's Halo Defenestrator lifts Devil's Halo. Returning for the 2004 event, Defenestrator looked to defend its High School Division title. However, not all of its opponents are known. What is known is that Defenestrator picked up a win against Devil's Halo to advance in the competition.
Defenestrator vs. ? Defenestrator approaches its opponent. Defenestrator also took on a two-wheel drive, red wedgebot with spikes on the rear. After flipping it over to negate its opponent's wedge, Defenestrator attacked without fear and flipped it several more times. It eventually got its opponent underneath the pulverizer and won by knockout.
Defenestrator vs. Falcon Defenestrator is unbalanced by Falcon. Later in the competition, Defenestrator faced Team Whyachi's drum spinner, Falcon. Defenestrator lost this fight and relinquished its title.
Middleweight Rumble Defenestrator (far left) taking part in the rumble. Defenestrator returned for the Consolation Rumble at the end of the tournament. It is not known who won the rumble but the team are not known to have competed in BattleBots IQ after this.
