Darkstar-2J was a heavyweight robot built by Team Merkin Trolls which competed in Season 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.

It was a black, low-profile robot armored with hinged polycarbonate skirts and a lifting arm for its primary weapon. It performed decently in its only season, reaching the televised rounds before being destroyed by Warhead.

Darkstar-2J was originally planning on entering Season 4.0 as the team was listed on the official BattleBots rankings page ahead of the Season 4.0 tournament. It is unknown why it dropped out.

Season 5.0
Darkstar-2J vs. Death-Maul Darkstar-2J's first match was against Death-Maul. Darkstar-2J won the match and advanced to the next round.
Darkstar-2J vs. Mastakilla Darkstar-2J then took on Mastakilla in the final preliminary round. It again won this match and moved on.
Darkstar-2J vs. Warhead Darkstar-2J's side armor is torn off by Warhead. Darkstar-2J gets hit and tossed into the air by Warhead. The immobile, heavily damaged remains of Darkstar-2J. Warhead delivers the final blow to Darkstar-2J. Now in the TV founds, Darkstar-2J faced another rookie robot in Warhead. Both robots charged at each other at the start of the fight, not causing any visible damage, but Warhead's second attack tore Darkstar-2J's side armor clean off, tossing Warhead over. Warhead self righted, sending the polycarbonate cover of the killsaws next to it flying, before continuing to destroy the armor of Darkstar-2J, throwing it across the BattleBox. After one final attack, Darkstar-2J was immobilized and Warhead performed a victory spin. Darkstar-2J was counted out and Warhead won by KO at 59 seconds, meaning Darkstar-2J was eliminated from the tournament.
