Dark Shredder was a middleweight robot built by Team Dark Forces which competed in Season 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
It was a wedge-shaped, invertible robot armed with a spinning drum. It won just one battle by forfeit before losing to Minnesota Mangler.
The team that built Dark Shredder also built a lightweight named Dark Steel. They also entered Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors with Lightning Tracks. Lightning Tracks also entered Robotica as Dark Track.

Dark Shredder vs. Weed Whacker (Forfeit) Dark Shredder was first pitted against Weed Whacker, but its opponent was forced to forfeit so Dark Steel advanced by default. |
Dark Shredder vs. Minnesota Mangler Dark Shredder next faced Minnesota Mangler. When the match started, Dark Shredder darted across the BattleBox before Minnesota Mangler started spinning. Dark Shredder got a hit on Minnesota Mangler as it attempted to run away. Eventually, Minnesota Mangler went to the left and Dark Shredder went to the right. After this, Minnesota Mangler started spinning again. Minnesota Mangler managed to catch the side of one of the drum holes and blew out Dark Shredder's side bearing. Since the drum was now live, the 175A rated fuse blew and the drum stopped moving. The broken bearing case went between the wheel and the frame and prevented Dark Shredder from moving one side of the robot. After this, Dark Shredder was being counted out and Minnesota Mangler won by knockout, eliminating Dark Shredder. |
