Coincidence was a middleweight robot built by Adam Bercu, which fought in multiple BotsIQ events.

It was a blue, two-wheel drive robot armed with a horizontal undercutting spinner. Due to its large, internal wheels, Coincidence was capable of running upside-down and using its spinner as an overcutter as well.

Due to how little of BotsIQ is documented, it is unknown exactly who Coincidence fought in each of its events. As only one of its fights was uploaded to YouTube, it is also not known how well it did.

Builder Adam Bercu would later move to Busted Nuts Robotics, working with Andrea and Mike Gellatly to name and design the original middleweight version of Witch Doctor. With the televised return of BattleBots in 2015, Bercu formed part of Team JACD and Overhaul before entering Brutus into the 2016 and 2018 seasons.

Coincidence vs. ? It is unknown who Coincidence fought during the 2007 BotsIQ event.
BotsIQ 2008
Coincidence vs. Knightrous Coincidence approaches Knightrous in the opening seconds. Coincidence fought Team Titanium Knights' middleweight Knightrous. As both robots' weapons spun up to speed, Knightrous turned to face Coincidence. As Adam Bercu's bot went weapon-to-weapon with Knightrous, the collision caused both robots to jump backwards. Coincidence appeared to escape this exchange worse, as it was barely moving in the corner of the arena. Having suffered a few shots from the pulverizer, Knightrous returned to the center of the arena as Coincidence was only driving on one side. It was eventually counted out, and Knightrous took the win by knockout. It is unknown whether this was Coincidence's first battle of the 2008 competition, or whether it fought again during the event.
