Circuit Breaker was a heavyweight robot built by Team Circuit Breaker which competed in the final four seasons of the original run of BattleBots. It was a robot with a sloped circular body made from a titanium-composite air turbine (which made its armor much stronger than most other robots) and armed with a spinning mace for Season 2.0, a full-body spinning shell for Season 3.0, and an overhead spinning bar for the final two seasons of competition. It didn't do well in battle, only winning one fight, but it made a television appearance in the Season 2.0 consolation rumble.

Robot History[]

Season 2.0[]

Circuit Breaker vs. Kill-O-Amp

Kill-O-Amp vs Circuit Breaker

Circuit Breaker fighting Kill-O-Amp.

Circuit Breaker's first and only match in Season 2.0 was against Kill-O-Amp. In the beginning of the match, Kill-O-Amp began to attack Circuit Breaker immediately and pushed it under the spikestrip. Kill-O-Amp lined up for another shot, but got stuck under the pulverizer and got hit multiple times. Kill-O-Amp stopped moving and Circuit Breaker was being counted out. Kill-O-Amp won the fight by KO on 1:41 and Circuit Breaker was eliminated from the tournament.

Heavyweight Consolation Rumble

Circuit Breaker also participated in the Heavyweight Consolation Rumble. During the opening minute, it drove around the arena in circular arcs, bumping Technofool and few other robots. After spinning around the center of the arena, it eventually drove into the spike strip, where it remained wedged for the remainder of the rumble. As it was not mobile at the end of the rumble, Circuit Breaker was not eligible to win and was eliminated from consideration for the royal rumble.

Season 3.0[]

Circuit Breaker vs. FrostBite

Due to its seeding, Circuit Breaker was allowed to skip the preliminary rounds of Season 3.0, where it eventually faced FrostBite. In the match, FrostBite got underneath Circuit Breaker and pushed it onto the killsaws. FrostBite backed up and it was waiting for the killsaws to toss Circuit Breaker to the middle of the BattleBox. Circuit Breaker stopped moving and it was being counted out. FrostBite won by KO and Circuit Breaker was eliminated from the tournament again.

Because it lost in the round of 64, Circuit Breaker couldn't participate the Heavyweight Consolation Rumble at the end of the tournament.

Season 4.0[]

Circuit Breaker vs. Technofool

Circuit Breaker's first fight in Season 4.0 was against Technofool. Circuit Breaker won the fight on a 36-9 judges' decision and advanced to the TV rounds, where it faced Greenspan.

Circuit Breaker vs. Greenspan

Circuit Breaker and Greenspan met in the middle of the box and Greenspan spun to take the first blow from Circuit Breaker with the rear wedge. However, it took some time for Circuit Breaker's weapon to spin back up, so Greenspan was spun around and wailed on it with the hammer mill. Greenspan must have hit Circuit Breaker hard enough to break something lose inside and Circuit Breaker quit moving. Using the wedge again, Greenspan scooped up its opponent and put it in the spikestrip before Greenspan drove back to its starting square. Greenspan's driver then made a cardinal mistake as he decided to show boat a bit and went back over to wail on Circuit Breaker some more. Circuit Breaker's weapon got caught in the hammer mill and managed to break the welds holding Greenspan's weapon bearings. Circuit Breaker was being counted out and Greenspan won the fight by KO. This meant that Circuit Breaker was eliminated from the tournament again.

Season 5.0[]

Circuit Breaker vs. Super Collider (Forfeit)

Circuit Breaker was scheduled to fight Super Collider, but Team Circuit Breaker was banned from the event due to security and safety violations and so Circuit Breaker was forced to forfeit its only match. Super Collider won by default and Circuit Breaker was eliminated from the tournament once again.
