Chris Rose (born January 27, 1971) is an American NFL sports announcer, journalist, actor and producer who has been credited in sports media since 2001. He is the current co-host for BattleBots on Discovery, alongside Kenny Florian.
Born in Shaker Heights, OH, Chris Rose graduated from Ohio's Miami University in 1993 and originally served as station manager for WMSR radio. An avid fan of American football and baseball, he sometimes makes references to these sports in his BattleBots commentary. He is a lifelong fan of MLB side Cleveland Guardians and NFL team Cleveland Browns, both of which are based in his hometown state.
Chris Rose joined BattleBots in 2015 as the show was revived on ABC and, like co-host Kenny Florian, has maintained his role ever since.

Chris landed his first sports presenting role hosting sports television show The Best Damn Sports Show Period from 2001 until 2009. This post hit his love for both NFL and MLB and saw Chris play himself in multiple sports films in the mid-2000s.
Outside of American football and baseball, Chris Rose also hosted the first season of PokerStars Big Game alongside Joe Stapleton in 2010. However, wishing to pursue full-time MLB broadcasting career.
The following year, Chris made a rare acting appearance where he played a fictional character. He featured as Detective Brown in the 2011 movie Flood Streets.
One of his longest tenures came in the Major League Baseball show Intentional Talk, which he co-hosted with Kevin Millar. It quickly became one of the most popular shows on the MLB Network, and ran under a similar format for nine years. However, Chris Rose announced in late 2020 that he would not be continuing with the network, as they had not renewed his contract to host Intentional Talk. An official reason was not given, though Chris Rose stated that the COVID-19 pandemic had majorly impacted the network's personnel.[2] His last show was on December 23, 2020 before he was replaced by fellow sportscaster Stephen Nelson.
In 2021, Chris Rose became the host of his own biweekly baseball podcast The Chris Rose Rotation. He was the sole permanent host, while a different active MLB player co-hosted alongside him for each episode. He is also credited as executive producer for Nickelodeon animated series The Twisted Timeline of Sammy & Raj, which was produced in 2020 and premiered the following year.
