Not to be confused with the reboot era competitor of the same name.
Chomp was a heavyweight robot built by Team LungFish which competed in Season 3.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
It was a shark-like robot with four omni-directional wheels and armed with a front crushing jaw and a rear pickaxe. It did not perform well in competition, losing its only match against I-Beam.
Team LungFish also built middleweight entrant Mongus for Seasons 4.0 and 5.0, as well as lightweight Spwack for Season 5.0. They also applied for the 2016 season with Double Dutch, but were rejected. It was not until World Championship III in 2018 that Team LungFish would return to BattleBots with Double Dutch.

Chomp's first and only match in Season 3.0 was against I-Beam. I-Beam constantly hit Chomp on the head as Chomp tried to eat it. Eventually, Chomp got stuck on an arena wall and I-Beam won by KO at 1:45 and Chomp was eliminated from the tournament.
