Carnage Robotics are a team led by Sean Irvin who competed in the last three seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots, as well as World Championship II and III in 2016 and 2018 respectively.

The team are best known for their Destructo series of robots, including superheavyweight Techno Destructo and their modular heavyweight entry, Ultimo Destructo. Based in Florida, Carnage Robotics have competed in five seasons in total with robots spanning three different weight classes and both eras of the show.


Carnage Robotics enter the BattleBox in 2016.

Carnage Robotics featured in the sixth and final episode of BattleBots Resurrection, which documented their struggles to repair Ultimo Destructo during the 2018 season and prepare it for future fights.

Sean Irvin's team resurfaced in 2022 with a brand new build called Sawborg Destructo, which applied for World Championship VII. However, it was unsuccessful in its application.

Outside BattleBots[]

Carnage Robotics also entered Techno Destructo into the 2003 Robocide superheavyweight division, where it beat Phrizbee-Ultimate and SNUGGLES by knockout.

Sean Irvin[]

A robotics engineer by day, Sean Irvin is captain of Carnage Robotics and has been present for each season the team have competed in.

He has a masters in robotics and a college degree in mechanical engineering.

Monte Keen[]

Monte Keen was part of Carnage Robotics throughout Comedy Central and for the 2016 season. The company he worked for, Keen Ltd., sponsored and provided sheet metal for Techno Destructo.
