CUAD the Crusher was a superheavyweight robot built by Team CUAD which competed in Season 3.0 and Season 4.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.

It was a dark blue robot armed with a spiked lifting arm that could also be used as a clamp. According to the team, it took six months and around $12,000 to build CUAD the Crusher. Though it did not rack up many wins in its career, never passing the Round of 32, CUAD the Crusher reached the televised rounds in Season 3.0 before losing a close encounter with Techno Destructo.

The team that entered CUAD the Crusher also entered heavyweight CUAD the Unmerciful and middleweight CUAD the Annihilator, both of which only competed in a single season. CUAD, pronounced 'cue-add', was an acronym and stood for 'Crush Up And Destroy'.

After Season 4.0, CUAD the Crusher registered for a competition in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Robot History

Season 3.0
CUAD the Crusher vs. Jack the Gripper CUAD the Crusher's first ever match was against Jack the Gripper. CUAD the Crusher won the fight by KO and advanced to the final preliminary round.
CUAD the Crusher vs. Overlord Here, CUAD the Crusher took on Overlord. CUAD the Crusher won the fight on a 32-13 judges' decision and advanced to the TV rounds.
CUAD the Crusher vs. Techno Destructo CUAD flips Techno Destructo onto the killsaws. Techno Destructo flips the lifting arm off of CUAD. Here, it faced Techno Destructo. This was a close battle where both robots got lifts in. Techno Destructo used its design to self-right during the battle and Techno Destructo managed to maneuver CUAD the Crusher onto the killsaws, damaging the battery covers. At the end of the battle, CUAD the Crusher lost its spike lifter, which may have swung the decision in Techno Destructo's favor as it won on a close 23-22 judges' decision. This meant that CUAD the Crusher was eliminated from the tournament.
Season 4.0
CUAD the Crusher vs. Ronin CUAD the Crusher lifts Ronin. CUAD the Crusher opens its lifter. Due to its seeding, CUAD the Crusher was allowed to skip the preliminary rounds of Season 4.0, where it eventually faced Ronin. Despite CUAD the Crusher lifting Ronin at one point during the match, the time ran out and Ronin won the fight on a close 25-20 judges' decision. This meant that CUAD the Crusher was eliminated from the tournament once again.
