BotsIQ 2010, sometimes known as BattleBots IQ 2010, was the ninth BattleBots IQ event sanctioned under the BattleBots name. It came about after the unsuccessful attempt to see the 2010 BattleBots Championships become televised, resulting in its cancelation.
It was held in Miami, Florida, which had been the permanent home for annual competitions since 2006. While BuildersDB states the competition took place between April 16-18, 2010[1], the official program factors in April 14-15 for registration and technical inspections.[2]
Champions of the Large Class for this year included Category 5 and high school entry ODDNOTT. The mixed High School and College 15lb division was won by Rattler 2, who defeated Mastercam Sting 'EM in the final.
This competition was the main focus of the Bots High documentary, which specifically followed three competing high school teams: Ransom Everglades Robotics, Mechanical Misfits and My Mechanical Romance.
