Borris was a middleweight robot built by a student group from Dakota County Technical College which competed in Season 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
Borris was a flat four-wheeled robot with a chassis machined out of a single block of 6061 aluminum and armed with a spinning toothed drum. It performed decently in competition, winning one battle.
Borris registered for the BattleBots-sanctioned NPC Charity Open 2004, but it pulled out at the last second. However the team instead enter with hobbyweight Natasha, and middleweight Z.I.P. both of which were highly successful.
The team also talked about building a heavyweight which would again be made out of single block of material, this time tool steel. this however, never came to fruition.[1] The team also planned on entering an anticipated Season 6.0 with an improved Borris. Details on these developments are unknown as BattleBots was cancelled.[2]

Season 5.0[]
Borris' only season got off to a bad start, as BattleBots had forgotten to put them on the brackets. So, they ended up fighting Secret Weapon, who had their first opponent forfeit. This match was quick, as Secret Weapon drove over, into Borris' spinning drum, where it took damage and broke down. Secret Weapon then tapped out, only 39 seconds into the fight.
Borris then met up against Wrath Jr. However, the team was having transmitter issues and couldn't maneuver well enough to win, losing the battle on a 29-16 judges' decision.
