Blind Date, later known as Z.I.P., was a middleweight robot built by students of Mound Westonka High School which competed in BattleBots IQ 2004 and 2006 as well as the NPC Charity Open.
It was a four-wheeled, invertible robot with a front-mounted wedge which was designed to control and shove its opponents around the BattleBox. Blind Date performed well, finishing third in the High School Division and winning the Most Aggressive Robot Award for the 2004 competition.[1] It would repeat this feat in 2006, again winning the Most Aggressive Robot Award. However, its tournament record from that year is not known.
Blind Date also entered the 2004 NPC Charity Open under the name Z.I.P. under Team Creation Robotics, who also entered with hobbyweight Natasha and fought in Season 5.0 with Borris. Z.I.P. performed strongly, achieving third place overall.

Blind Date vs. SpazTek In the second round, Blind Date took on SpazTek. Blind Date was able to flip and pin SpazTek and advanced to the next round by knock out.[2]
Blind Date vs. ADD At some stage in the competition, Blind Date took on shell spinner ADD. Despite taking several big hits from ADD, Blind Date was able to push them around a good amount and the fight went the distance. Blind Date won on a judges' decision and advanced to the next round.[2][3]
Blind Date vs. Falcon Blind date also took on Falcon. However, it was consistently outwedged by the Team Whyachi robot and lost after suffering damage to its front wedge.
Blind Date vs. Checkmate Blind Date then fought Checkmate. As the match starts Checkmate seems to be having weapon issues as the shell is extremely slow to gain speed. Blind Date makes repeated attempts to attack Checkmate but for most of the match instead gets caught in either the back or the side, sliding up its opponent's sloped shell and then driving away to reorient. Eventually it manages to push Checkmate across the box and into the corner but turns and is wedged in the side. Blind Date reverses off the wedge but into the wall getting stuck for just long enough to let Checkmate escape the corner. With less than 30 seconds remaining smoke starts pouring out of checkmate. The match is paused to extinguish the fire and after the restart the robot is barely driving. Blind Date pushes it around until time runs out and the match goes to the judges. It is unknown who they declared the winner.
High School Rumble Blind Date returned for the High School division rumble at the end of the competition, which was ultimately won by Roxanne.

Z.I.P. vs Bot Named Sue After receiving a bye in round one, Z.I.P went up against Bot Named Sue in the Round of 16. In the match, Bot Named Sue pushed Z.I.P. around the arena and was trying to bring its saw down. The two continued to push each other until the match ended. Z.I.P. won on a judges' decision and advanced to the winner's quarter-finals.
Z.I.P. vs Speed Bump XL Here, Z.I.P. took on Speed Bump XL. Z.I.P. sped out, bouncing off the arena floor, before beginning to slam Speed Bump XL around the arena. Speed Bump XL stopped moving but came back to life when it was slammed against the wall. Speed Bump XL was then pushed under the pulverizer by Z.I.P. Speed Bump XL and Z.I.P. controlled the rest of the match. In the end, Z.I.P. won on a judges' decision and advanced to the winner's semi-finals.
Z.I.P. vs SABotage Z.I.P. now faced SABotage. In the match, Z.I.P. prevented SABotage from lifting it and pushed it against the arena wall multiple times. SABotage managed to get its lifting arm under Z.I.P. and started lifting it, carrying it over to the pulverizer where it was hammered until Z.I.P. escaped. After several more collisions between both robots, SABotage stopped moving at the 2 minute mark and Z.I.P. pushed it across the other side of the arena. After this, Z.I.P. rammed itself against the arena wall and drove itself over SABotage's lifting arm. Z.I.P. backed up and charged straight at the immobilized SABotage. After this, the buzzer sounded and Z.I.P. won the match by KO. This win put Z.I.P. to the winner's finals.
Z.I.P. vs Devil's Plunger Z.I.P.'s next opponent was Devil's Plunger. The two robots bounced off each other before Devil's Plunger was put on its back. This actually helped Devil's Plunger as it could now get under Z.I.P. and it started getting under its opponent repeatedly and controlled the fight from that point on. In the end, Devil's Plunger won on a judges' decision and Z.I.P. was now in the loser's finals.
Z.I.P. vs Falconizer Next up for Z.I.P. was Falconizer. When the match began, Falconizer avoided the box rush by Z.I.P. The two maneuvered around each other for a while before Falconizer started hitting Z.I.P, first on the wedge, then on the side and underside. Falconizer later kicked Z.I.P in the air on two separate head on collisions before dishing out a series of hits that spun Z.I.P around and then hitting Z.I.P in the rear end when it reversed over it. Falconizer hit the wedge again as Z.I.P tried to push Falconizer, and doing so once more when Z.I.P rammed Falconizer wedge first. When it got rammed again, Falconizer kicked up the wedge and delivered a few shots to the underside. Falconizer delivered a few shots to the wedge as Z.I.P reversed into a pulverizer, before eventually dishing out a blow to the wedge that flipped Z.I.P upside down. By this point, Z.I.P appeared to be having drive issues, as its left side appeared to be losing drive. After another hit to the wedge, Falconizer kicked up the wedge and ground at the top of Z.I.P. Falconizer then kicked up Z.I.P from the side and delivered Z.I.P to the pulverizer, where Z.I.P was hit two times before escaping. After a small hit to the back, Falconizer charged in and dished out a massive blow to the underside that reverse launched Z.I.P in the air. After a bit of maneuvering, Falconizer ground into the right rear of Z.I.P before kicking it on top of itself again. After some more moving around, Falconizer kicked Z.I.P over itself two more times before kicking it up from the left rear along with another shot to the wedge that sent it spinning into the wall. As Z.I.P backed away from the wall, Falconizer kicked in the air once more from the back, nearly flipping it back over before a last hit in the air sent it back upside down. After another grinding to the underside from the side of the wedge, Falconizer made another charge, kicking it up from the side and sending it spinning in the air. Falconizer continued to deliver shots to the rear, the sides, and the underside as the time was winding down. When the match made the distance, Falconizer won on a judges' decision and this meant Z.I.P. earned third place in the middleweight division.
