Not to be confused with the heavyweight robot, lightweight robot, or other middleweight of the same name.
Black Widow was a middleweight robot built by students of Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School, which competed in BattleBots IQ 2006.
It was a two-wheel drive, pentagonal robot with a sloped front. A large model spider adorned the top panel of the robot, in front of decals referencing Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School and their home town. Black Widow performed well during the event, ultimately finishing in third place with Marvinator and E2V2 finishing second and first respectively.[2]
The team also built a robot called Widow's Revenge.

Black Widow vs. Huey Black Widow's only known opponent from the 2006 competition was Huey. Black Widow was able to speed over to Huey before it was able to get its spinning blade up to speed. Black Widow used its backside to push Huey into the corner pulverizer where it was unable to escape. Black Widow would win the fight by knockout.[3] |
