Bellator was a heavyweight robot designed by Team Acclamator Technologies for BattleBots World Championship IV which was forced to withdraw.

Bellator was a four-wheel drive, invertible eggbeater drum spinner. The front also included two plows with wedgelets on the top and bottom of the plows. The robot had a camouflage aesthetic.[1] Most of the other details of construction are unknown.

According to Mark Elam, the team had their design accepted by BattleBots and were ready to begin construction when they encountered logistical issues with the machine shop fabricating the parts for the chassis. The shop informed the team it would not be possible to have the work done on the construction before the deadline for filming. Thus, the team pulled out of their accepted position in World Championship IV.

Following their withdrawal, the members of Team Acclamator Technologies joined up with Twister Robotics on their entry, BattleSaw. One of these team members was Mark Elam, but it is unknow which other members on Twister Robotics had previously worked on Bellator. The team stated that they intended to keep working on the construction of Bellator for future seasons of BattleBots and other heavyweight competitions. However, no further updates were given on it construction, and Bellator has not competed at BattleBots or any other competition.

Outside BattleBots[]

The team had applied to the Chinese series King of Bots, but they were ultimately not selected to compete due to government limits on foreign competitors.[2]
