BattleBots Collegiate Championship/Episode 2

Episode 2 was the second of four planned episodes covering the BattleBots Collegiate Championship which took place on April 21, 2009.

The remaining five robots were due to take place in this episode, as teased at the end of Episode 1. Former BattleBots IQ champion Falcon of UW-Stout were joined by Puerto Rican representatives Pharaoh as well as Cattitude, Shark Tooth and DracUCLA of Ohio, California and Los Angeles respectively. The fights set to be shown during this episode remain unknown as commercial slots for the series were unable to be sold, and CBS dropped it from their schedule.^[1] FOX Sports also planned to air both the Collegiate and Pro Championships, but withdrew for unconfirmed reasons.^[2] Falcon would go on to win the Collegiate Championship outright, defeating Pharaoh, DracUCLA, Cattitude and Episode 1 competitor Triton and finishing undefeated.^[3]

Although neither this, nor the remaining episodes from the Collegiate Championship were shared publicly, select fights from this and the other 2009 BattleBots Championships, have since been shared on both BattleBots and Autodesk Inventor's YouTube channels. Notably, battle and interview footage from Falcon versus DracUCLA was shared to Autodesk Inventor's channel in December 2009, suggesting it may have been intended for this episode.^[4] No episodes after Episode 1 were fully produced and only exist as "super rough cuts" according to Greg Munson, who believes they will likely "never see the light of day".^[5]
