Backlash is one of 42 real-life robots which featured in the canceled BattleBots video game for PlayStation 2 and GameCube.

Like many of the replica bots, it is based on the Season 3.0 design of the Comedy Central BattleBots lightweight, built originally by Jim Smentowski of Team Nightmare. This is evident by the 'feet' protruding from its front stabilizers. which sit either side of Backlash's vertical spinner.
The in-game model is highly accurate, including the correct coloring and decals across the robot. However, its drive wheels appear wider than in real life, and the teeth of its vertical spinner are also a darker silver color than on its real-life counterpart.
Backlash is upended by Snowflake.
Unlocking Backlash[]
In order to unlock Backlash, the player must clear Phase 1 of the Lightweight Arcade fights while using a heavyweight robot.
