Anubis' Season 3.0 appearance.

Anubis was a superheavyweight robot which competed in Seasons 2.0 and 3.0 of BattleBots. It was a pyramid-shaped robot which was armed with four lifting arms, one on each corner. It performed well in competition, reaching the round of 16 in Season 3.0.

Anubis was originally going to be named Ra, but that name was taken, so it had to be renamed.

Builder Glen Sears also built the heavyweight Negative Reinforcement.

In Anubis' first fight it fought Snake. In this fight, Snake tried to move out of its corner while Anubis, unsure on how to attack Snake, drove over and tried to lift it.

Anubis eventually broke down and Snake used its drill to grind up Anubis while it was counted out and eliminated from the tournament.

While there is currently no recorded/recollective evidence of Anubis’ participation in the superheavyweight consolation rumble at the end of the tournament, there is a possibility that it did participate and was heavily damaged during the course of the bout. This is evidenced by photographs taken in the pits of Anubis in a completely destroyed state at conclusion of the tournament, as well as the fact that it was completely rebuilt for the next tournament.

Season 3.0

Due to previously entering Season 2.0, Anubis was allowed to skip the preliminary rounds of Season 3.0, where it eventually fought Season 1.0 runner-up DooAll. Anubis won the match on a close 24-21 judges decision and it advanced to the round of 16, where it fought Phere. Phere won the match on a 27-18 judges decision and Anubis was eliminated from the tournament once again.

Anubis wasn't finished, however, as it entered the superheavyweight royal rumble at the end of the tournament. It pushed Phere up the entrance ramp, leaving it vulnerable for a flip by Toro. Anubis eventually broke down in the final minute of the rumble. Despite this, its 4 lifting arms were still functional. The time ran out shortly after and Toro was declared the winner of the superheavyweight royal rumble.

Anubis after BattleBots ended.

Despite not appearing after Season 3.0 Anubis would outlive the Comedy Central Era run, but only barely when a totally rebuilt Anubis appeared at one of the North Carolina Street Fight events, but promptly retired afterwards.
