Angry Ant, also known as Angry Ant 2.5, was an antweight robot built by Lionel Vogt of Team Violence which competed at the inaugural BattleAnts event held as part of Season 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.

It was a two-wheel drive robot armed with a large horizontal bar spinner made from titanium. The robot's batteries were positioned between its wheels, directly behind its spinning blade.

Outside BattleBots

Angry Ant entered numerous other events after BattleAnts, armed with a 'spinning cone' powered by an internal combustion engine according to its Builders Database page. The version documented on the site was Angry Ant 5.1, and the robot itself was retired in 2003.

Angry Ant vs. Hoser'd Angry Ant takes on Hoser'd. Angry Ant is known to have taken on Hoser'd during the bracket, though it is unknown whether this was a Round 1 or Round 2 battle. According to Lionel Vogt, the fight went the distance as Angry Ant continued to charge at its heavier opponent and flung it across the arena late on. However, Hoser'd was declared the winner and moved on, eliminating Angry Ant. "AA put up the most valiant effort yet against hosered!
