Amputator was a superheavyweight robot built by Team Insanity which attended Season 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.

It was a rectangular, four-wheel drive robot armed with an overhead spinning bar. Unfortunately, Amputator was not allowed to compete due to safety concerns regarding the bar’s lengthy spin down time. This caused it to forfeit its only match to Fantom Thrust.

Team Insanity would later build the hobbyweight War Drums and middleweight Death Drum for the 2004 NPC Charity Open event.

Amputator vs. Fantom Thrust (Forfeit) Amputator’s first match had it queued up against Fantom Thrust. But, Amputator was not allowed to enter the area due to the BattleBots safety team being worried about the amount of time the bar took to slow down, forcing Amputator to forfeit the fight.
