Agent X was a heavyweight robot built by Team X-Bots which competed in the 2009 BattleBots Pro Championship.
An invertible, four-wheel drive machine with a low box-shaped chassis and checkerplated armor, it was equipped with a large flipping plate as its main active weapon.
Agent X endured a difficult run in the Pro Championship, losing its first match against Surgeon General, but recovering with a win by Judges' decision against The Loach. It would then be eliminated entirely following a second defeat against Team Whyachi's Warrior, finishing with a 1-2 record as a result.[2][3]
Team X-Bots had previously competed with a variety of machines in the televised Comedy Central BattleBots seasons, as well as the 2004 NPC Charity Open and 2005 Rochester Robot Rampage.

Agent X vs. Surgeon General At the start of the Pro Championship, Agent X initially benefited from a bye enabling it to progress automatically to the second round of the Winner's Bracket. Its debut match occurred at this stage, where it faced a veteran horizontal spinner from the Comedy Central era, Surgeon General. Official BattleBots records indicate that both robots fought for the whole three minutes, with Surgeon General winning by knockout. Agent X was thus relegated to the Loser's Bracket.[2][3] |
Agent X vs. The Loach Agent X next fought the dual spinning discs of The Loach in an attempt to stay in the competition. As in its previous match, both robots were documented to have survived the full three minutes, though this time Agent X would be declared the winner on a Judges' decision.[2][3] |
Agent X vs. Warrior Agent X's victory allowed it to face Warrior, a kinetic spinner/flipper entered by Team Whyachi. BattleBots match records suggest that the fight once again lasted the full three-minute duration, with Agent X losing the subsequent Judges' decision. As a result, it was eliminated from the Pro Championship with a 1-2 match record.[2][3] |
