1A was an antweight robot built by Team Whyachi which competed exclusively in the BattleBots 2004 NPC Charity Open.
It was a two wheeled robot, armed with the traditional Team Whyachi cage spinner design popularized by Son of Whyachi. However, 1A did poorly in the competition, losing both of its fights.
The team also produced a beetleweight version called 3A for the competition, its name likely deriving from being literally three times the weight of 1A. Although 3A picked up a win, it lost twice and was also eliminated early.
Outside BattleBots[]
1A also competed in numerous other non-BattleBots events, losing most of its fights in those as well until it was retired in 2005.
